History
|
Department of Industrial Design established in 2010 and accepted students for the first time in same year. Students of the department has been graduating since 2015.

Admission Requirements
Turkish Students (Associate - Undergraduate Programs)
• High School Diploma
• Placement upon the result of Higher Education Institutes Examination (YKS) for high school or equivalency degree holder candidates or External Transfer Examination (DGS) for associate degree holder candidates by Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (OSYM).
• Obtaining minimum required result from Yasar University English Language Proficiency Test (FLAT) or the equivalent international examinations accepted by the University. (Candidates not obtaining minimum result Yasar University English Language Proficiency Test (FLAT) or the equivalent international examinations accepted by the University should register to one-year intensive English program by Yasar University School of Foreign Languages as a preparatory class)

The students who successfully complete this program may apply to second cycle programs.

Graduation Requirements
|
Students, who have achieved all courses in their program (240 ECTS) in addition to compulsory internship (if exists) with a CGPA of 2.00 over 4.00, complete their undergraduate degree education and provide all required conditions for graduation.
|
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates are able to work in Industrial Design offices, research and development departments, recently establishing Design Centers both in Izmir and other cities of Turkey and of course international industrial design offices.
|
Assessment and Grading
|
Theoretical courses are evaluated by exams, home-works and other task which are determined in the syllabus. In Applied courses and Studio Courses Projects are evaluated by Juries with evaluation forms and criteria, prepared by the department.
